The Herpetological Conservation Trust (HCT) is a national charity, founded in 1989, which specialises in conserving amphibians and reptiles (herpetofauna).
We conserve the species in a number of ways, including:
- supporting and contributing to the UK's Biodiversity Action Plan at both national and local levels
- providing expert advice (LBAPS, landowners etc.) and training
- protecting and improving habitat through practical conservation
- raising public awareness to stimulate interest and understanding about these species
