Herefordshire FWAG

Welcome From The Chairman

Welcome to Herefordshire FWAG's website which will inform you about our organisation within the county.

We believe that our independence as a charitable organisation is one of our strongest attributes enabling us to give fully independent and confidential advice to farmers and rural property owners.

Our advisers can deliver up to date professional farm conservation advice on all agri-environment issues as listed below.

FWAG membership within Herefordshire now extends to over 500 members. If you are interested in joining or wish to request a visit from one of our advisers please do make contact.

With very best wishes,

David Curtis MVO

Grey Partridges and Farmland Birds

A practical look at how to integrate the "round the year" requirements of farmland birds into a modern farming regime using the Stewardship schemes and the Campaign for the Farmed Environment.  A joint day with the GWCT, FWAG and CLA.

The walk will give a fantastic opportunity to see firsthand some of the key habitats that benefit grey partridge and many other farmland birds.  Matt Willmott (Natural England), Peter Thompson (GWCT) and Janet Lomas (FWAG) will be on hand to give advice.

The Perrystone Estate - Wobage Farm, Upton Bishop, Ross on Wye HR9 7QP on Wednesday, 22nd September. Starting at 2.30pm and finishing at 5pm with refreshments in Upton Bishop Millennium Hall.  £10 per person.
