Bumblebee Conservation www.bumblebeeconservation.org is a national charity dedicated to the protection of the UK's 24 bumblebee species, six of which are of high conservation concern. They are keen to work alongside FWAG and farmers to find "no-cost" or "low-cost" ways of increasing bumblebee populations on agricultural land, as well as providing advice regarding agri-environment schemes. A natural partnership exists between farmers and bumblebees, which as vital pollinators of many crops, are of great economic value to the agricultural industry. Farmers are in a unique position to manage and provide suitable habitat at an effective scale to achieve this. In turn, bumblebees return the favour through pollination of crops and wildflowers.
