FWAG congratulates its Nuffield Scholar

Chloe Palmer

Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group is delighted to announce that its Regional Director for the Midlands and North, Chloe Palmer, has been awarded a Nuffield Farming Scholarship to study "A viable UK hill farming sector".

Chloe's mission during her studies will be to explore hill farming sectors in other countries in order to bring back fresh thinking on what practical measures the UK can take to ensure a sustainable future for its own hill farming industry, working for the benefit of food and farming.

Between 19 February - 3 March 2008 Chloe will be travelling with the twenty four UK scholars to Melbourne, Australia to attend the pre-study international conference and meet all of the international scholars from Australia, New Zealand, Canada and France.  Over the forthcoming eighteen months Chloe will be travelling to different locations around the world to undertake research for her report, travelling for two months in total.

Andy Ormiston, Managing Director of FWAG commented "This is a fantastic achievement for Chloe as the competition to be awarded a scholarship is exceptionally high and the process involves some demanding interviews.  We would all like to pass on our congratulations to Chloe and wish her well for her studies".
