About FWAG in Northern Ireland
Hello and welcome to the Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group (FWAG) in Northern Ireland. FWAG has been established in Northern Ireland since February 2004. Our office is situated in Magherafelt's aptly named Rainey Street.
FWAG’s Aims vary somewhat through regional differences, throughout England, Scotland and Wales however we are steadfast on the part that sustainable farming plays, within the precious habitats of our countryside.
Our Environmental Aims:
FWAG in Northern Ireland offers an alternative approach to farmland management, tying together the importance of air, water and soil quality with a positive economic return.
As an independent advisory group, we assist in understanding bureaucracy and legislation and look to alternative methods of sustaining rural life.

The FWAG Farm Manager Service is targeted at the medium to large farms in N. Ireland. This service is aimed at providing information and advice on Cross Compliance, Nutrient Management, Waste Management, Agri-Environment and Business needs to these farms. This service is sold as a one-off service which will include yearly on-line support as part of its’ inclusive membership.
The FWAG Family Farm Service is aimed at small holders and farms of 30ha or less. Advice and guidance given includes Agri-Environment, Biodiversity, Cross Compliance, Livestock/Crop Management and Energy. This product will also be available as a one-off service and as a membership package.
Friends of FWAG is a product aimed at those individuals without land who are interested and supportive of the role that farming plays in delivering environmental benefits to our countryside. These members are entitled to FWAG events; farm walks and farm visits, as well as having access to information and advice.
