FWAG's Objectives in Northern Ireland

  • To engage with as many farmers as possible in the environmental management of their farms.
  • To recognise and encourage that sustainable farming is an essential aspect of environmental farming, and has a crucial role in addressing many aspects, such as local produce, traceability and energy costs.
  • To deliver skills in our advice that helps the farming community to meet legislation. Nutrient balances and management, waste management, renewable resources, cross-compliance and agri-environment schemes such as the countryside management scheme.
  • To advise on farming and wildlife issues.
